Our group coordinates Task 39 (liquid biofuels) of the Bioenergy division within the International Energy Agency. The objective of this Task is to facilitate international communication and promote research on the policy and technology issues related to the commercialization of liquid biofuels.

Prof. Jack Saddler was the leader of Task 39 for 9 years and is currently a joint-task leader. During these years our group has established a long standing tradition of publishing commissioned reports as well as successfully orchestrating symposia, business meetings and other events under the auspices of the IEA.
